IT Assessor and Tutor

Plymouth, Devon

Full-time

Salary: £22,000.00 to £25,000.00 /year


Bluescreen IT are a Leading Provider of Vocational and Vendor Training Programmes.

Due to increased demand, our learning department has a vacancy for a Tutor/Assessor to join our busy vocational department at our HQ in Plymouth.


Responsibilities include supporting a cohort of learners on their BCS apprenticeships by visiting workplaces to coach learners through their qualifications. The candidate should be able to tutor in areas of, IT or Computing. This role will cover the training and coaching of apprenticeships across these vocational areas plus classroom tuition and Functional skills delivery,.


Education/Qualifications Desired

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or equivalent Teaching Qualification at level 3 (PTLLS or Certificate in Education and Training) IT professional levels 2 and 3 Minimum of Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent in English, Mathematics and ICT Level 3 Vocational Qualification or equivalent


Responsibilities

Manage programme delivery, including learner profiles, lesson plans, content and the learner experience to ensure learners fulfil their role and ensuring individual set targets are met


Responsible for regularly reviewing and amending of training material in line with OFSTED and Awarding Organisation’s requirements


To ensure adherence to Health & Safety (including Safe Learner concept), Code of Conduct policies, Equality and Diversity and that all learners are given fair access to opportunities


Support marketing and PR efforts through social media and events


Provide support and potentially lead efforts with employer engagement


Where required deliver elements of BIT’s digital apprenticeships through formal classroom training and or workshops


Assist in the development of BIT’s digital apprenticeship programmes.


Willing and keen to learn new technologies and keep up to date with vendor course requirements
